Some days the excruciating boredom that comes with being a stay-at-home-mom makes me want to gouge my eyes out! Today was one of those days.
Just to keep entertained, I cleaned the oven, vacuumed and mopped the floors. Then I made phone calls and played My Little Ponies with Devin. But the day just went on and on – I didn’t think it was ever going to end!
Part of the problem was probably because we only have one car and it was sitting in the parking lot of my husband’s office. I didn’t feel like driving him to work today, and he didn’t feel like biking in the rain, hence his need for the car.
I don’t know if I actually would have got out and used the car even if I did have it at my disposal today. It was just one of those days. I didn’t really want to get out and do anything, but I really wanted something interesting to happen.
It just goes to show that life is what we make it – and some days I just don’t make much of it.

aka, Monkey or Monster. My oldest daughter is a spirited child. She has boundless energy, amazing enthusiasm and laughs in the face of danger. She can argue that black is white and doesn’t take no for an answer. She changed my world for the better the minute she was born and I haven’t stopped to catch my breath since.
Jordan
aka, Sweet Pea, or The Screamer. Since day one my youngest daughter has shown her dramatic flare by screaming through the first full four months of her life. She continues to impress us with her vocal abilities when we least expect it. But when she’s happy, it’s like pure sunshine.
Ken
aka, The Fun One. My husband is the adventurer. He does everything at full speed and loves every second of it. Favourite activities include ones that involve throwing his body down a mountain at an awe inspiring pace, either on a bike, skis or snowboard.
